Soul Purpose™ Expression Through Entrepreneurship
Understanding the importance and relevance that the Entrepreneurial spirit has upon your life brings joy and clarity to opportunity. What does that have to do with Soul Purpose? I’d like to begin by defining Soul Purpose to develop context for this article. Soul Purpose can most easily be defined as a term to describe your unique series of talents, strengths, passions, interests, hobbies, attitudes, and values. In life, we achieve true joy and happiness when we discover outlets for our Soul Purpose. Think back on a time when you were truly happy doing something. Think of times of recreation, business, and life in general. Now as you look at the root of this joy, you will find one of those “outlets” for Soul Purpose. Within business, the most powerful leaders and business owners are those who operate from their Soul Purpose the majority of the time. Someone who is considered “the best of the best” is most likely working from Soul Purpose as well. True opportunity lies in the ability to bring expressions of your Soul Purpose to the marketplace, creating growth in finance and joy.
Expression through Business
Entrepreneurship is one of the highest forms of soul purpose expression. This is not to say service without monetary reward is lessened, only part of the equation for soul purpose expression. Entrepreneurship allows one to work in soul purpose day-in and day-out. They are able to utilize soul purpose not only as an avenue to create value for others and joy in their own life but also for their daily sustenance. How powerful it then becomes. Many subscribe to the idea that profit validates and verifies that value is being created. If someone is not willing to pay for the value then how valuable is it really? Once again, this does not discount various forms of non-monetary value creation. Another benefit that sets entrepreneurship apart is the progressive power that is built into free markets. The free market demands progression and improvement. Stagnation will not survive long. This is a point that sets profitable industries and markets apart from voluntary service. Whatever good you create within a business must continually be updated and improve to compete and stay active in the marketplace. This allows for ever-improving and better service, bringing society up versus promoting stagnation. As the business improves and increases in profitability, these profits and revenues can and should be reinvested into even greater strides in value creation and soul purpose expression.
Becoming an entrepreneur does not always mean you have to be a savvy business person. That would go against the concept of Soul Purpose if that skill set is not part of you. Although it may constitute stepping outside your comfort zone to make things happen, utilizing the HARD-EASY concept. The key will come in leveraging relationships, networks, in an interdependent model. Allow others to work in their soul purpose which allows you to work in yours. Partnering at this level can be the most powerful path to progress. Many struggle to “give up” ownership to another but this often is the difference between success and failure. Do you want to be 30% owner in a million dollar company or 100% owner in a failing company?
The ability to understand, focus on, and find vocation in soul purpose comes with patience, dedication, continual education, and guiding mentors. Each of these factors will bring further clarity to your soul purpose. You will also discover that soul purpose is a dynamic, fluid concept that continually evolves as you get closer to your “true” soul purpose. You will find different ways to express it as well, even within the same business or field of business. Continue to work at it and find those entrepreneurial outlets.
Entrepreneurship has obtained a permanent position within soul purpose expression as a promoter of continual improvement of lifestyle and life itself.
