How would you feel if...
You increased your profit margins significantly.
Your topline results improved dramatically.
Improved your marketing returns while decreasing overhead costs.
You left on vacation for a year and cameback to a more successful company than when you left.
You only did the things in your business that you wanted to do, that gave you energy.
Why haven't all these things happened already?
Why work with a business consultant?
Many small businesses see no need for, or feel they lack the budget for a business consultant. They fall into one of two camps, those that are struggling and say they cannot afford it and those that are successful and claim they do not need the assistance. If you feel you fall into one of these camps, ask yourself a series of questions:
- What is my ideal for my business?
- Am I at my ideal? Why not?
- Is the path clouded to achieve my goals?
- Do I want to increase my bottom line?
- Do I want more personal time while increasing business success?
- Is the business dependent upon me or anyone in my organization?
- Are the right people working with me? Are they in their ideal positions?
- Are there areas that are not understood or that are unclear as to possible solutions (blindspots)?
This is just a sampling of questions that a business consultant can assist with. Having a capable cosultant/coach on your team is like having a strategic partner or innovative employee that you can bounce ideas off of, develop marketing strategies with, and give a third party perspective on issues. Its an opportunity to tap additional insights and understanding to enhance your own experiences and progress. The consultant also takes a considerable role in implementation and development of processes, a results-oriented strategy. Maybe you are looking at expanding through organic growth or an acquisition. It is time to bring on additional team members to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of the process. It is a matter of dedicating a small amount of resources now versus a large amount when you hit a stumbling block or when sales fall off due to an error.

Over the past few months, we have been working on finalizing a few new tools that will greatly enhance the productivity and effectiveness of our processes. These include various workbooks and organizational tools that will take things to the next level. The first to be unveiled will be the Systems Planner. This will greatly increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the process of creating systems. This is an interesting idea considering the whole purpose for creating systems in the first place is to streamline, improve efficiency and effectiveness, and yet it can be a vary tedious and time consuming process to create them. That is where we are eliminating time spent on non-income producing activities and those that lie outside of one's soul purpose or passion. As a business becomes more systems-oriented, available time and resources are revealed for further expansion and growth. This is often the point that truely bridges the gap from "self-employed to self-expressed." Or as others have stated, moving from self-employed to becoming a true business owner. Move from the People-dependent trap and create success...
